Homelessness

Either provide oversight to SHARE or move funding to new group

either require SHARE to be more transparent with its financial books and use an outside agency to provide oversight, or move the emergency shelter funding to another organization that is better able to handle its responsibilities. Though there is a definite need for homeless shelters, there are long standing problems with the current system. Homelessness

STOP Spending money on Share. Find a true solution.

cut the funding to Share. We need to be spending our funds on organizations that are trying to solve homelessness issues. Helpgin people get back on their feet and helping others get the care they need. Not spending money on an organization that simply finds locations for people to stay and then force these individuals to help with their political agendas.

Charge for hold items at libraries

Charge library patrons .50 to hold items. This will pay for the cost of City transportation to haul books and other materials placed on hold, from one library branch to another. Many libraries do this across the country.

Repeal the bicycle helmet law

Repeal the bike helmet law. This will encourage more biking in the city, less road wear and tear, and more efficient traffic flow for busses and cars.
