Combine .GOV Web sites, to reduce waste, and increase efficiency! I don't know how many times I tried to find information about something -- maybe just about a Park! or a License! or Permit! -- but detailed information was spread all over the place, on multiple Web sites, and in multiple locations. Cut from future acquisition programs

Decrease budgets for future acquisitions, so we can maintain current program delivery. We cannot afford to start up an array of programs; we should be focusing on the programs affecting us today. For example, cut the Golf Capital Reserve budget and the Planning, Acquisition & Development program (both in the Parks & Rec Department).

Regarding the Proposed Budget Cut to SCANTV

The vote soon to come up regarding the City of Seattle’s budget includes a plan by the Mayor to cut the funding for the public access station – SCANTV. The cut proposed is draconian – from $650000 to $100000. This would effectively eviscerate the services that SCANTV provides to the city. Please make sure to keep the Greenwood Neighborhood Services Center open. I am a family law attorney and have volunteered for the past ten years at the Greenwood Family Law Clinic located at this center. I have helped hundreds of people who would not have otherwise had access to the legal system.
