Bike riders are not licensed yet operate on a road in a manner which requires knowledge of traffic laws. It is reasonable to assume that some bikers have never taken a driving test and have no drivers license. How can we expect them to obey rules they may or may not even know? Remove the $13 Million set aside by McGinn for bike lanes from the budget. When we have excess money we can think about increasing transit lanes for less than 1% of the commuting population. Until then stop ALL the bike projects!!
Stop adding bike lanes to neighborhood roads. If the city wants to promote bike travel than enforce the bike laws. Nobody follows them in the first place, plus they don't know how to use (or drive around) them properly, so it seems like a waste of city money.
