Eliminate bicycle boxes

I suggest that you eliminate the budget for the new green bicycle boxes. These boxes cost $15,000 and do nothing to improve freight mobility. We need to focus on important priorities, not pet projects for a privileged few.

Eliminate the Entire SDOT Bicycle Program

I suggest that you eliminate the entire budget for the SDOT’s Bicycle Program. It does nothing but deliberately increase traffic congestion and take money away from needed social programs in order to support a tiny minority of people who ride bicycles.

Stop bike Projects

Remove the $13 Million set aside by McGinn for bike lanes from the budget. When we have excess money we can think about increasing transit lanes for less than 1% of the commuting population. Until then stop ALL the bike projects!!

No More Sharrows

I suggest you eliminate the budget for sharrows. Drivers don’t need painted pictures of bicycles to know they need to share the road with bicycles. We could spend this money on needed services and public safety.
