Keep funding for Alki Community Center

Please do not reduce funds for programs at Alki Community Center (ACC). Many Alki parents rely on services at the community center and Alki Elementary has enjoyed a long relationship with ACC, sharing a gym, playground and playfield. Reducing funding and putting our community center at risk will harm the Alki community. Let us find other ways to keep the ACC up and running by having all community meetings. The ACC provides ...more »

Keep Community Centers Open

Why not ask the community to set up fundraisers to keep the community centers open. I can't imagine Queen Anne without the community center.

do not cut anything from public pool budgets

I suggest you...keep public pools open as usual. We seniors and disabled folks really need these facilities to maintain our health and well being.

Laurelhurst Community Center-closing to the public?

Do you know how many kids love the laurelhurst community center? Mine do! They'd much rather go there and play and make friends then Mcdonalds and eat hamburgers or stay at home playing video games. Keep the Conservatory open

Keep the Volunteer Park Conservatory open. It is a magnet for visitors, it is a wonderful place for students, and it is far more valuable than a special place in the City Admin campus for employee bike riders to shower!

Queen Anne Community Center

Please reconsider using the QA community center as a production studio. I think the Bizkids program is an outstanding one (our kids need creative educational opps around finances) and I appreciate the creative thinking about how to generate new income for the city budget. BUT - our community center is not the place for this show to be produced. AND, as important as it is for our kids to learn about finances - it is ...more »

Necessity NOT luxury.

Keep libraries and community centers open, because these are public NECESSITIES, not luxuries-for all individuals and families. Golf courses, stadium lights, waterfalls, etc are NOT needed. THEY are luxuries.

Keep Open the Greenwood Neighborhood Services Center

Please make sure to keep the Greenwood Neighborhood Services Center open. I am a family law attorney and have volunteered for the past ten years at the Greenwood Family Law Clinic located at this center. I have helped hundreds of people who would not have otherwise had access to the legal system. Without this help, many would go into court (or not have responded at all to legal actions), which would resulted in them ...more »
