I just took a port tour of the cargo ships. The workers work m-f, but the ships come in on the weekend. So the workers have to work OT on the weekends for tons of hours wages to load and unload the ships. Why don't they work th-m instead and and take tu-w off and stop paying more. Our port belongs to the city it sounds like. Let's spend money their more wisely. Any business owner that doesn't get much business on a particular day doesn't waste having the store open with people sitting around. They said the crane operator makes about $41 hour...and then he comes in on the weekend and makes double? Really? Or have shifts. There are a lot of folks who would like to do that job on a weekend for $41 hour while the other guy is at home having his weekend.
